Here, we are trying out some shots and angles that would work the best for out first part of the music video. This is a long shot (because we can see the whole of Laura's body) of Laura walking towards the door.
A mid shot of Laura walking towards the door.
We have done these range of shots to see which would work the best and from which angles.
Next, we are going to show 'try out' videos that we have also done. These are a range of videos that have been taken with 3 different cameras. My camera, with the 'burst' effect, creating lots of shots within the space of seconds, Shannone's camera that has also done a 'burst' effect and the school camera that we used for simple videoing.
• Include images of your actors and the costumes you will chose – explain how you want to represent them through their appearance, age, gender, costume choices – you could also refer to how these elements link to the genre of the track – you’ve got some material here but it needs a bit more general.
ReplyDelete• You still need a detailed storyboard and shot list – make sure that you spend a good amount of time on these.
• Try to show how you are developing your creative ideas – e.g. how will you use narrative / performance? Illustration / disjuncture / amplification? Intertextuality? Again – use stills from other videos, shot drafts for your own video.
• Good examples of try outs – think about how you can integrate these techniques in the video – at what points?
• Still a fair bit of work / evidence needed for planning – make sure that you achieve excellent L4 / A in this area as well – planning is not as good as your earlier research as yet.
